Bruce Barcelo is a public opinion pollster and international political consultant.

His clients have included
• international political campaigns and democracy-building organizations,
• referendum, political, and business clients throughout Florida,
• Chambers of Commerce, think tanks, the Republican Party,
• and numerous elected officials and major corporations.

Locally he has
• led the successful Cecil Field referendum campaign,
• advised on the Better Jacksonville Campaign, and
• was pollster and strategist for the winning campaigns of Mayor Ed Austin
• and John Delaney, Sheriff John Rutherford, Senator Jim Horne,
• Senator Jim Horne, Speaker John Thrasher, and a host of others.

He has enjoyed an international practice in political consulting and democracy-building for the past sixteen years in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Afghanistan, and Ukraine. His work in Ukraine during and after the fabled 2004 Orange Revolution proved to be groundbreaking in its use of qualitative, focus group research to drive mass message in a Presidential race.

Recently, he is Vice-Chairman of the national election integrity organization the Committee for Open Democracy. He is also advising political clients in the Republic of Georgia and helping lead humanitarian efforts in the Caribbean basin.

Bruce has been active in the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Chamber, the Blueprint for Prosperity, Leadership Florida, the Florida Children’s Campaign, JCCI, the Republican Party, and St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, and has served on the Boards of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and of Leadership Florida. He is this year’s Chair of the Jacksonville Chamber’s Business Advocacy Committee.

He has been honored with the Urban League’s Equal Opportunity award and the Baha’i Faith’s Unity Award. In 2002 he and Judge Brian Davis were named Men of the Year by Folio Weekly for their leadership of the pioneering “Beyond the Talk” JCCI study on race relations in Jacksonville and in 2004 he was named by Florida Trend as one of “Florida’s 174 Most Influential People.” .” In June 2008 Florida Trend featured him as one of Florida’s top “Hired Guns.”

Bruce and his wife Anne live in the historic San Marco area. Their daughter Paige has given them the world’s most perfect grandsons: Miles and Collier.
